A project becomes hard to manage when the plan and the execution live in different places. Start with one project record that owns the goal, target date, contributors, milestones, and current health.
Tasks should inherit context rather than repeat it. Link each task to the project, milestone, relevant document, and any dependency that changes what can happen next.
Review the project by exception. Instead of asking for a status recap, surface blocked dependencies, overdue approvals, capacity conflicts, and milestones whose confidence changed.

Planning, execution, context, and reporting are easier to reason about when they point to the same underlying objects.
